Shadowfell Effects

I don't remember who or when we were talking about this, but we were talking about shadowfell effects. I had built my own for my showdowfell hexploration game.

Here's how it works: Each hour the party spends in the shadowfell (Travels 2 hexes, short rest, when I feel like it), each party member rolls a DC10 WIS saving throw. On a fail, they roll a d8 and whichever emotion is rolled manifests supernaturally.

If they roll the same emotion multiple times, they go deeper into that emotion, gaining an additional effect, going left to right. So failing the wis save 2 times and getting a 4 on the d8 twice would get you Lonely and Forlorn.

The first one is *usually* beneficial, the second is a neutral nerf, and the 3rd is generally a big problem. I say "X emotion Manifests" in a few of these. These are the related Sorrowsworn. For example, the last Lonely effect would spawn a The Lonely Sorrowsworn.

Anyhow, I thought this might be helpful for people who want to really bring the supernatrally negative emotion aspects of the Shadowfell into their game
